WSMV 4 App Reviews

Although AT&Ts new 4G LTE network is much faster than the previous 3G one, WSMVs streaming video of both recorded and live news is frequently interrupted. It is impossible to view an entire story from start to finish. Please resolve this issue. Thank you. Additionally, about 50% of the time I try to open your app, it malfunctions and freezes. This happens every day! It is very frustrating and leads to me choosing other channels to get news.

This app used to be so wonderful, I loved it. But now its slow

Freezes. Old news. Bad streaming on LTE. Needs serious overhaul.

Big fan of WSMV TV, but this thing is terrible. Cant input cities in weather, search is useless. Going to another app by Nashville station. Maybe they know how to program a mobile app!

When I pull up the app the screen freezes every time for about 10 seconds. I have stopped using this app.

I get very frustrated when a banner pops up with a breaking story but the story isnt listed in the app. Grrrr!

The new release looks modern and is well organized. I would like to see the current temperature return to the top right corner of the app. Its sought after info that now you must navigate to find.

The top stories are all a day old.

WSMV should be ashamed. Your app is outdated and not informative. If you want to see how its done check out WKRNs site. As a frequent traveler I want information that scour rent and in depth. Im better of waiting until I return to Nashville and reading old newspapers.

Very shameful, the news all are outdated

I use the weather section of this app because its always up to date and gives you real time Doppler radar information.

I use apps to get to stories quickly. I am NOT going to watch a commercial every time I want to see something on the news or weather. Other apps are more useful. I didnt see an up to date radar although it may be available. Going back to weather bug!

The latest news page has older stories inter woven with most recent. And newest story is 3 days old. I have only seen this the last few weeks. Why is this?

The old app featured weather video. This new app does not very disappointing

Got bombarded with more notifications than I bargained for, when will i be able to pick what i want to be notified about, and only about what i want!

The wsmv app works great NOW! and yes Im giving it 5 stars to bad I cant give it more but just knowing that my favorite news&weather app works now puts a smile on my face :) .... Ive been watching wsmv ever since 1980 and still watching it morning&evening .... So thanks a bunch on fixing the app :)..........

I dont know who this Freeman guy is whos running for Mayor, but the fact that an ad with his face pops up every time I open this app makes me not want to vote at all. Until the recent update, this was the best local news app (well, the least-worst of the bunch), but now that I have to see a full-screen ad every time I open an app or 50% of the time I load a story or return to the apps home screen, I am deleting it. I expected better, Channel 4. You let me down.

This app is slow and not intuitive. Give me a simple list of recent LOCAL events. If I wanted national news, I would download a national news app

Crashes all the time. Horrible layout where if if it crashes you cant go back to where you were or find it. Only good for watching live newscast in storms. Other than that its a waste of time. Tons of out of date articles. With advertisements all over it including some I would not want my kids to see.

I get the need for ads, you need to make money... But if I have to wait before I can even see the news and wait for an add to go away its a waste of my time. Put ads in tactfully but dont waste my time on app launch. Its faster to bookmark wsmv and visit the mobile site then launch your ad filled app. Thanks but no thanks. I want to see content with some ads, not ads with content.
