I loved the app until it began to freeze during commercial breaks and never return to the news. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it but the same thing happens. It continued to happen after the latest update. I am now forced to watch another news app bc this one freezes.

Slight improvements in the general functionality of app. Still just three stars because of the incessant notifications. Ive opted out of those things Im not interested in, namely sports. Yet every NFL pick comes through as breaking news. Stop. It.

And will continue to do so. Despite the frequent commercial interference it is still the best choice.

I use this app mostly for the looping radar and staying on top of the breaking news notifications. Works great!

Lots of bugs including image rotating rapidly, videos not playing, crashes a lot and lots more Im not gonna list

I plan on trying to read about crashes, however the app is what crashes and I am left reading nothing.

App was great till ads started popping up every two seconds. Cant even read the news. Terrible decision to include ads in a news app.

Settings allow to opt for (or not) breaking news notification. Even though I choose not to, I still get the notifications. Competitor apps are no problem.

I log on to see recent news, and its always old stuff from yesterday and days ago. Im gonna download another news app.

Dont write reviews very often but had to for this app. Avoid it, it is the buggiest app I have EVER used and I am done with it. Multiple versions and they still cant get it working smoothly. Crashes constantly, wont change screens, and locks up on loading

Crashes. A lot. Very frustrating. Could be a nice app, with links to videos and the ability to link articles to Facebook. Easy to get school closure and weather info. But they really need to stabilize the program. Its too buggy.

I had this app once before and deleted it because I was getting news alerts even though I have notifications turned off. With a new device I loaded it again and its still doing it. Until you stop sending unwanted notices I will not use!

I dont care about sports. But somehow 90% of the alerts I get are about sports and football or basketball. I dont give a flip. What about traffic? What about ACTUAL NEWS? You need to find a way for certain types of alerts to be disabled or the user to select what gets push notified to them. Its annoying. Delete.

I STILL get news flashes about Alan Jacksons kid getting arrested. WHO CARES. I want to know about traffic, shootings house fires things that are URGENT. I dont care if someones kid got arrested or a new coach was hired to whatever team or some big name will be in concert. THOSE are not news worthy notifications. Also yes my app freezes & locks up but when it works I love the weather portion of it.

Nashville has better tech than this...I know it for a fact. This app is awful. Crashes. Relies on content from the full site. WSMV should be embarrassed by this app. Dont waste your time. If you want news from this station, just go to the full site with Safari.

I do agree with people on the just sports stuff. But I have a different problem. Every time I try to check the radar it never comes up. And yes Im connected to good wifi.

This used to be a great app. Now it is terrible. Switching to news 2 app. Does not refresh new stories, and the layout is confusing and outdated. Stuck with old news and crashes. Apparently wsmv does not care about its mobile viewers. I dont watch news 2 but their app is far superior
